SURPASSING YOUR LIMITS

THE EXCELLENCE SEMINAR

with

Dr. Peter Warschawski

Break through your personal constraints and self-imposed limitations, and greater success and satisfaction will be yours.

YOUR ADVANTAGE

You learn to break through personal constraints and self-imposed limitations and reach ever higher levels of success and satisfaction.

LEARN TO

  • Achieve extraordinary results
  • Use problems to create opportunities
  • Communicate effectively with others
  • Motivate others for success
  • Create successful relationships with clients, partners, staff, and others
  • Increase your effectiveness without increasing your effort
  • Eliminate burnout and create well-being
  • Understand the function of goal and vision in your success

GOAL AND CONTENTS OF THE SEMINAR

Leaders in any field are surprised when they suddenly run into practical or psychological limits to their accustomed success which they cannot explain or surpass.  Their personal skills like communication, persuasion, or innovation are as strong as ever, yet they struggle to break through to the next level to meet the new challenge.  They feel as though they have hit a ceiling in quality, quantity, or ability.

In this seminar you learn how to move beyond these limits.

External factors and circumstances are minor hurdles to someone used to straightening the curves in the road to his or her goal.  The limits that truly trip us up and hold us in place are of our own making.  They exist as a result of the way we think.  Everything we do – whether it leads to success or failure – is a result of our thinking.  Yet our awareness of our thoughts and our thought processes is so minimal that our ability to influence them is weak and random.  On the other hand, learning how we think and how to recognize the thoughts that limit us gives us the tools to create thoughts and thought patterns that surpass limits and generate new possibilities to reach the desired result.

Your success is not a whim of circumstance.  It is also not only the result of knowledge, skill, or technique, though these are essential tools.  Your success is the result of your ability to develop and apply cognitive awareness and personal positioning in a way that allows you to reach what you want.  Ultimately, we all achieve only within the limits our thoughts permit.

Surpassing Your Limits shows you how to develop the cognitive awareness you need to unlock a world of new possibilities beyond anything you have imagined so far.  You will learn how to function naturally on a superior level and how to produce consistently extraordinary results in your professional life.  The Excellence Seminar will enable you to dramatically increase the potency of your work, whatever your field, your approach, or your technique, without increasing your effort.

In this seminar you will go beyond traditional management development, personality training, or skill building courses that overlay the work you have always done with the veneer of someone else’s “strategy of the day.”  Surpassing Your Limits gives you the insight you need to tap into your ability to change, to innovate, and to create the context for success that surpasses your self-imposed limits.

PARTICIPANTS

CEO’s, upper and middle management, business owners, self-employed persons, performing artists, sports professionals.  The number of participants is limited.  Registrations are considered on a first come, first served basis.

THE SEMINAR FORMAT

The seminar is conducted over three consecutive days from 9:00 am sharp to approximately 6:00 pm, and to 5:00 pm on the last day.  During lunch the participants work in small groups on a specific assignment.  The two evenings are reserved for individual homework assignments.

Unlike traditional courses or workshops, this seminar is designed to provide more than a learning experience.  Its unique goal is to produce a shift in the participants’ point of view and conceptual framework.  This is accomplished through a continuous exchange between the leader’s presentation of material and the participants’ questions and dialogue.

To enhance this process, the participants are urged to avoid interruptions from outside for the duration of the seminar and to keep the evenings free for the individual homework assignments and for the review of the day's material.

GOAL AND CONTENTS OF THE SEMINAR

Leadership can be learned.  To lead others with ease and poise, we need to know something about ourselves as well as about the people we are to guide. We need to know how people function cognitively and emotionally in general and as individuals. It’s important not to get lost in minor details, but rather to develop a clear, comprehensive picture of the whole person.  With this clarity we can lead in an intelligent and efficient way that is open and empathic.  Leaders and co-workers then have a sense of excitement, joy, commitment, and fulfillment in their work.

We often assume that a promotion to a leadership position automatically brings with it the ability to lead others skillfully.  This is like the expectation that the birth of a child automatically gives new parents the ability to raise the child in the best possible way.  These assumptions often fall flat.  Again and again disappointment, frustration, and helplessness show up, where we would so much like to experience and generate ease, joy, and excitement.  This can be remedied, however, because in this seminar leadership can be learned.

The higher your self-esteem, the greater your chances are that you will be creative in your work rather than ritualistic and traditional.  And that insures greater success in a time of ever quickening change.  With high self-esteem you enter into supportive relationships instead of destructive ones, you create health, vitality and openness in your life, and you approach others with respect, generosity, and goodwill.  You will experience greater joy and a higher level of well-being in your life.

VISION IN ACTION

For Graduates of Surpassing Your Limits Only

with

 Dr. Peter Warschawski and

Rosemary Warschawski, B.L.A.

It’s not the circumstances that create success, but the way you position yourself in relation to the circumstances.  Success depends on your inner competence. The greatest clarity and the finest self-management skills will lead to extraordinary results.

YOUR ADVANTAGE

Situations and projects that have ground to a halt can be revived and brought to success in this seminar through coaching and consulting.

You continue the process towards Excellence you began in Surpassing Your Limits.  You refresh and reinforce the insights learned by working with your current projects and your unrealized goals.  The work and the discussion take place in an informal, free, and open atmosphere that enables you to develop new, personal, and hands-on possibilities.  Dr. and Mrs. Warschawski lead you through the day with their input and unwavering focus on Excellence.  Alternately as coach or consultant, they see to it that all the participants reach their desired results.

LEARN TO

  • Refresh and reinforce what you learned in Surpassing Your Limits
  • Handle professional and personal plans, tasks, and goals in the context of Excellence
  • Discover new perspectives on personal issues as they relate to your work
  • Practice creating absolute clarity working on your own projects
  • Broaden and strengthen your self-management skills
  • Exchange ideas with fellow participants and support each other

GOAL AND CONTENTS OF THE SEMINAR

In Surpassing Your Limits you worked through the complete theory of clear thinking and conscious self-management.  The starting point for further development is given.

But things are the way they are.  Deadlines draw ominously closer, the phone rings incessantly, employees always do something other than what you intended, and at home they also expect things from you.  “So what was that again about Excellence?”

The presuppositional structure relishes this state of affairs.  On its high horse, savior in shining armor, it gallops in and works like mad to create order from this chaos.  Is it the most creative order, the most efficient or most elegant order?  Who cares?  It is the order you are familiar with.  And right away you’re trapped again – you become once again the servant of the presuppositional structure, which actually means well, but cannot allow anything new.

Reaching for new, unknown possibilities is something only you can do by letting go of the presuppositional structure and working in the context of Excellence.

Direct, hands-on treatment of your personal projects, goals, and interests is beyond the scope of the Surpassing Your Limits seminar.

But this seminar is different.  Here you determine the content of the seminar, based on the four topics you bring with you.  Whether your topic is people or projects, whether it is in the professional or the personal realm, you create the clarity about the issue, about your stance, and about your inner resources that allows you to elegantly meet the challenge.

Here you roll up your sleeves and get to work among colleagues.

Following a review of Surpassing Your Limits, you will work on topics of your choice in the exclusive company of former participants.  Led by Dr. and Mrs. Warschawski, you will move from theory to practice.  Your thought process will be sharpened through practical application.  Inspired by your goals and your vision you will develop your personal soft skills: self-awareness, self-management, motivation, insight, and interpersonal skills.  You will raise your self-esteem, hardiness, flexibility, creativity, and confidence in dealing with obstacles and change.  At the end of the seminar Vision in Action you will know how you want to master your challenges.

PARTICIPANTS

This seminar is exclusively for graduates of the seminar Surpassing your Limits.

PREPARATION

Each participant is required to bring 4 professional or personal topics he or she would like to resolve (interests, goals, projects, issues, problems) that he/she has not yet been able to handle through his/her conventional thought process.

THE SEMINAR FORMAT

Following a review of Surpassing Your Limits on the first day, you will work in the exclusive company of former participants for the next two days on the topics you brought to the seminar.

On the first and the second evenings you will join Dr. and Mrs. Warschawski for dinner.

  • how to be pro-active in your relationship by understanding your own role as partner so you can nurture and grow your relationship
  • how to go beyond the ordinary in a relationship by making it one that empowers rather than one that constricts, one that you continuously create rather than one that repeats all the yesterdays
  • how to benefit from the synergy between a fulfilling relationship and professional success

LEARN TO

  • Understand each other and feel understood
  • Increase openness and decrease resistance
  • Give and receive respect and esteem
  • Balance power and freedom
  • Strengthen togetherness
  • Promote joy, fun, and passion in your relationship
  • Implement self-management skills that optimize your relationship
  • Incorporate these skills in your professional life so you can work easily and confidently toward achieving your goals

GOAL AND CONTENTS OF THE SEMINAR

Create the relationship you long for out of the relationship you have!

Successful people only feel truly successful when their professional success is paired with a fulfilling relationship.  Yet their relationship often gets short changed because they think they have to choose between their professional and private lives.  Despite their professional success, many people feel an inner tension or emptiness and describe their relationship as unsatisfying or lacking in joy.

Yet joy is the starting point for any successful work.  Every successful job starts with joy.  Research findings show that happy people are more successful; they achieve things easily where others struggle.

Happiness is based on essential elements of life: love, affection, caring, and the chance to make a difference.  Nowhere in human life are these elements more intensely experienced than in our relationship.

That’s why our relationship brings us such extreme joy – and sometimes such deeply felt sorrow.  When it’s working we can move mountains.  When it’s limping we feel powerless and lost.  Our relationship is the be-all and end-all of our existential happiness.

Top managers and team leaders are aware that anyone who is distracted by private problems drains time and energy out of the company.  On the other hand, each person who brings joy and support from home to work raises the power and effectiveness of his or her work.

Long-term studies from kindergarten to boardroom show that we have within us the most important skills for extraordinary success.  These so-called soft skills – common to a truly successful manager or a partner in a fulfilling relationship – include:

  • Communication – understanding and being understood
  • Conflict resolution – increasing openness and decreasing defensiveness
  • Team building – creating cohesion
  • Delegation of responsibility – balancing power and freedom
  • Dedication – increasing verve, fun, and joy
  • Mattering – giving and receiving respect and esteem

In this seminar you learn all of these qualities which grow – unlike intelligence – with experience, practice, and maturity.

PARTICIPANTS

Entrepreneurs, managers in leadership positions of top and middle management, and their spouses or life partners.  Anyone who wants exceptional quality in his or her relationship, regardless of the current level of the relationship.

SEMINAR FORMAT
